Quora Spaces Won’t Make You Much Money, but Can Still Be Helpful
Here’s are 3 ways to use them as a content creator

Yes, you can earn money on Quora by asking questions. But that’s not what this article is about.
It’s about a way to make money on Quora that is hardly noticed. Spaces are a way to build a little blog on the platform.

There is also a partner program for spaces, making it possible to earn money through them.
Quora places ads on content in the space — the owner gets a piece of the pie.
First of all, this sounds pretty cool, mainly because it’s easy to set up a Quora space. I own one that has 12,000 followers. So far, it has generated over 100,000 views.
Such a lot of views should be well paid, you might think.
But frankly, the partner program is pretty disappointing. So far, I have earned a massive amount of $2.66 through my space.
No, I did not misspell — $2.66, but not per hour, not per day — in total.
My space is not an isolated case.

Even Sean Kernan’s space called Gold Medal Answers, with over 200,000 followers, has only brought in a few dollars in total — something he openly admitted on his Instagram.
I was pretty disappointed — and you might be too if you were planning to create a space on your own.
But I have good news: Quora spaces are still beneficial if you’re a content creator.
Here’s are 3 ways to use them, not about making money.
Gain new followers for your Quora profile
What comes first? A space with many followers or a Quora profile with many followers? Of course, if you already have many followers on Quora, it’s easy to grow your space as well.
But it works the other way around as well.
Sean Kernan is again a good example of this.
Regardless of his profile, his space “Gold Medal Answers” has a gigantic reach. The pinned post in space has been viewed over 700,000 times — so all those people have seen Sean’s profile.

If you do it right, your space can successfully grow and your profile at the same time.
Use a “personal blog” space as a funnel
Spaces have a pretty cool feature.
You can invite the followers of your Quora profile as followers to the space. Your followers then get an invitation if they want to follow your space too.
Many successful content creators have a personal space on Quora. In this space, they share their blog posts or answer questions about themselves.
A space can help you turn your followers into consumers of your content outside of Quora.
A topic space to promote content
You can only build up a personal space if you already have some followers. Simply because the incentive to follow a random person’s Quora blog is not strong enough.
Instead of personal space, you can also create one on a specific topic — that’s what I did with my most successful one, which is all about programming.
In your topic space, you can then share appropriate content that you’ve written, for example, on your blog, outside of Quora.
Since you’ve already gathered people interested in the topic, it’s easy to convert them into readers.
