Quality Or Quantity?

What is my approach?

I have been asked a few questions lately about my progress on the Medium platform; the magic question is, “should I write lots of articles or spend time writing quality articles.”

My simple answer to that is, BOTH!

If you can write every day, this will help improve your writing skills, and since you will be writing about the topics you love, you should feel the time you spent on your article is worthwhile.

I will say it over and over again, write content that you enjoy. If you are writing for its sake, you will get bored and come across to your followers.

I would suggest that if you want to be successful on Medium, then regular content will help you grow, both in your writing and your following.

I also suggest you write quality content, and if people do not enjoy your articles, they will not come back. I know many new writers need to get 100 followers; however, you still have four months to get them; that is a lot of writing days, where you can also produce a lot of quality content.

If you write about a topic covered daily on Medium, your article needs to stand out from the rest, so try and find a topic that people like to read about, but put your perspective on that topic.

Try and think outside of the box when it comes to your title. If it grabs people, they will open it. If the first line grabs peoples attention, then they will carry on reading it. If you can add a bit of your personality into the article, that will also pay dividends!
