Q & A Monday: Metamorphosis
life is a dream, but only in the retelling

Q&A: Who do you seek to become? What must change to get where you want to go? In writing, in art, in life. . .where are you headed?
Metamorphosis
Change, from one state of being into another, not alchemy the impossible magic of making gold from hay, not a pipe dream, daydream pie in the sky, no if only, no maybe, no possibly. . . Metamorphosis is a guarantee, a deposit a down-payment, from the outside like magic, from the inside like intentionality, consistency, patience, deliberate transformation, shedding of skin, discipline, compressing coal into diamonds, walking ten miles, uphill, both ways, working early mornings, long days, creating that which appears magical, writing unicorns into be-ing. One day, long after you are long gone, in the locked boxes of your attic, someone will find your poem, share it on Dead Poets Live, year 2317, marvel at how effortless it seemed. Your ghost will laugh at the revisionist history — life is a dream, but only in the retelling.
