Pursuit: 59/ Reckoning Pt-2

Recap: Bendel’s fleet is decimated by the Swimmers. Jac‘s heart fails and he dies in the transdimensional jail. Sarz shapeshifts into Jac and restarts his heart. Touzdae cannot find Jac in her remote location in the past.

Recap continued: Hanna urges Touzdae to focus on their immediate survival.

After Jac is revived he receives a message from Sarz offering to save his life if he’ll leave Touzdae and be with her. Jac says he will meditate on the offer as a way to put her off. Meanwhile, Hanna warns of Von Deign’s people coming for Touzdae’s DNA. She offers Touzadae protections.

The captured Swimmer escapes. Before she can be killed by Bendel et al, the Swimmer folds space and escapes. This pushes the Fish down into the Well. With the communications systems down, Sarz sends a message and the Deign saves them. Bendel is enraged and shoots Jack. He dumps the dying Jac in the severely damaged non-functioning healing chamber. They use the chamber as a garbage can.

Touzdae sends thoughts to Hannah: Jac is dead What will happen to all the humanoids? Hanna answers with a slight hesitation: It is the end of life and light as we know it. Recap concluded and now…

You can bilocate back to the Needlecraft if you wish. I have all that I need from you to help sabotage the Dark Ray Machine here. We make a good team. It’s up to you. If Jac is in the Well of Souls you can communicate with him. Hannah sent the thoughts to Touzdae.

Hivbrit*, I am calling on you. If I am meant to of service to Jac in some way transport me to the best place for that, she thought. Touzdae turned her third eye toward her crown chakra. She released the thought to her Hivbrit.

Patience, Touzdae, the message came as she transported to the Needlecraft in the Well.

In secret Sarz bilocated to the severely damaged healing disk where Jac’s corpse lay in repose. She left a copy of herself weeping in the cell. I have no idea what I’m doing here. Am I trying to save a dead man? I am bound by my Hivbrit to act. I am in shock. I thought that Jac would bow to my pressure and agree to love me again for his freedom. I never saw this coming. What am I to do? I have never been enslaved by this level of indecision.

Jac rose up out of his body and was a young one on the remnants of the Sol Rae as it was being transformed into Nez Fish. He looked up into the eyes of his fama as they changed from fearful eyes to light eyes filled with wonder and love.

Touzdae was in shock. She felt as she had once felt when he died after the collapse of the Levelz. It’s the same and it’s different now. Part of Jac is in me as when my love pulled Pursuer Jac back into Peace Jac. My love made them one. Where are you Jac?

The answer she received — garbled. Not in the Well of Souls, she thought.

“Touzdae, I am happy to see you have returned. Troubled?” Maja, the AI, asked.

“Yes,” she said and fell silent.

“Jac is in the Nez Fish, ship above the mouth of the well,” Maja said.

“Life signs?”

“I detect none,” Maja replied with a hint of sadness in her tone.

Sarz donned one of the exo-space suits from a cabinet on the wall. She bilocated away from the wrecked space.

Jac was yanked back from his young days into his dead body. The body’s eyes opened. It was his fama in a shimmering light floated off the floor. Then it was the other that also inhabited the body of his fama with the eyes of light. Lights gathered around his eyes and love surrounded Jac’s lifeless body.

Baz remained raised in the sphere bubble at the helm. An alarm sounded on his screen. Baz leaned into the com and spoke.

“Bendel, you have an intruder aft of the cargo bay,” Baz spoke with force and clarity.

“There’s no one here,” Bendel said. And alarmed, “Oh my Spirits.”

The escape vehicle separated from the Fish while the cargo bay splintered into smaller pieces. Bendel floated out into space and died a few moments later. The Fish, still attached to parts of the cargo bay was propelled downward. The Dark Ray machine exploded.

Three paradox tentacles grabbed the 13 ships above the Well. Ensnared, Touzdae and the Needlecraft went down with the other ships into the depth of the Well. Gravity crushed them. It was the end of them.

The planet Ennis appeared above for a few moments as if to observe the event.

*Hivbrit is the Antarian word for High Vibrational Self.
