ARC OF THE IMMORTALS/ Book 1 — Part 2
Pursuit: 41/ Rest, Run, Rest
Recap: Phorea offers Touzdae an alternative place to hide, even though the cryo-med tubes/escape pods are best, and makes an unfavorable remark about Bendel.

Recap continued: Jac shows Touzdae a gadget. Touzdae takes the helm in folding space to the Entu moon of the Emmons Sisterhood. Touzdae and Jac engage in wordplay of a sort. Touzdae takes “the bridge” to the moon.
She is denied access to her mafa. She meets with the elder who is Hanna (in disguise). Hanna wonders why she didn’t use consciousness transfer (CT). Hanna says she cannot use CT now due to extra protection. Hanna suggests she expands her love to include and “be with” her mafa. It works. Touzdae wonders how her mafa could be on Von Deign’s ship and at the enclave. Hanna says that only her mafa can answer that.
Touzdae returns to the cloaked Needlecraft. Hanna bi-locates to materialize in front of Jac who recognizes her.
Hanna and Jac hugged.
“How do you know each other?” Touzdae asked.
“Hanna is my Spiritual Ma,” Jac said through tears of joy.
“I am so happy to see you whole again,” Hanna’s entire body was radiating light. “There is still much healing for you to do. And there is the task of retrieving Nez. I am so proud of the man you are becoming.”
She stepped back and pressed her palms together.
“What of Lepaz?”
“Oh,” she laughed full-bodied, “you mean Tu Mai. He sometimes goes by different names. He is in different times and places, at least two that I know of. I know he will be happy to see you once your path is clear. I must go very soon.
“Get some deep sleep before you embark on this mission,” she said. Hannah walked toward him; leaned forward, and kissed him on the forehead.
“Farewell, you two. You are so blessed to be with one another in a great loving bond. Bye,” she smiled and faded from view.
Jac sat on the bench that encircled the Captain’s Cabin.
“You look tired, Jac.”
“I am. I can only admit that to you and… me. I need some good sleep and rest. But I have an idea.”
“Let’s sleep on that idea, okay?”
Jac nodded.
As practice, Jac did a consciousness transfer to Touzdae’s mafa. It was a few days before her 570,000-year birth anniversary remembrance.
Touzdae says it’s a good benign consciousness transfer. Good as in a test of my abilities and any fallout given my reunification. Sound thinking and a good balance to my impulsive gut.
Jac the spirit observer hovered high above near the apex of the solarium. His younger self sat. He listened to Lillian Blue-White Emmons, Touzdae’s mafa. On Antarian Prime millions of Emmons resided. Over epochs, groups of females or androgynous Emmons lived in traditional neighborhoods. The locales designated by two colors of varieties of the Emmons flower identified them as traditionalists. There were many more designations of Emmons, Kristos, and Von Deigns living on the planet.
“I don’t know if you know about Touzdae’s siblings?” Lillian queried.
The younger Jac looked surprised; shocked.
“There’s no taboo though I doubt she talked about them since she never knew either of them. Baz, our female daughter was gruff bordering on mean-spirited. She was our first born and left the home. We never saw or heard from her again. I feel her presence from time to time. She went to explore beyond the galaxy clusters. She was very independent and self-contained. She left at the young age of 100 years.
“Raj was our son and was supposed to be a companion to Touzdae. But he died in an accident months after Touzdae was born. Raju, my husband carried Raj for the full pregnancy. You remind me of Raj. Touzdae, despite her wanderlust, longs for the traditional life of children, me thinks. My sense is that you are same. Though each of you has many adventures before you. My husband, Touzdae’s father died around 300,000 years — midlife. Am glad she had a relationship with him.”
Jac, the observer, separated from the sadness seeping in and decided to return.
They had found a remote moon of the tenth planet — a gas giant with an oxygen-rich atmosphere. There were many habitable hot pools for soaking. The moon had a partial cloak. It was the origin point in the Antarian Theta system.
Jac returned expecting comfort. He was out of phase with himself and in pain. Touzdae invoked the Spirits of Healing. One of the two personalities caught within interdimensional space could not unite as one. One of the Jac’s experienced severe pain while the other was calm and smiling. Touzdae spent 36 hours working to merge the two halves of Jac. It happened. Over the course of the next 48 hours Jac would burst into two. He would stay separate from himself or return in a matter of seconds. He slept a lot during this period.
