Purple-Blue Flowers Reminded Me of a Different Country
Summer Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shine!”
Mesmerize a BIG garden in Canada.
I took this photo in Australia.
The flowers and leaves were growing high and wide, and I thought they would break open the clay flower pot, almost. But then, there was a time when I thought it was going to dry out.
Nevertheless, the seasons changed; the flowers were back with a nice breeze, the warm sunlight, bees, butterflies, and more.
I like these tiny flowers. And I found Hot Lips Salvia very pretty. They are very small, but the bell-like shapes are unlike many other flowers. They are not merely looking up — they are looking aside.
When I was looking at these flowers, they reminded me of a different country. Small and beautiful flowers that I remembered I saw in Canada. I thought they were unique.
Then I remembered my mother was growing similar kinds in a small garden. And I remembered I looked for similar plants and seeds in flower shops. We went to the Butchart Gardens and recalled it and enjoyed the beautiful garden together.
Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer for this writing challenge!
Here is the piece I wrote about going to the big and exceptionally well-looked-after gardens in Canada:
