Purify your Home with Natural Practices.
The simple and effective techniques

Why should you purify your home?
When I last went to Singapore, I saw a lot of greenery all around despite high rise buildings. People were moving fast and reaching their offices, but whoever's home I went to felt clean and pure and peaceful. Wow, what a city this is, I thought. Each time I visit it, there are even more buildings but no pollution and homes are so peaceful. What is it I thought?
In our country in India, we have been playing with nature. We have added cars and now, there are posh cars everywhere. Most of them work on diesel. It is good to live well. We all should be prosperous. India badly needs to push up its income level and it is good to see luxurious products all around.
However, we also require good laws and stay side by side to keep our nature and environment happy. We have started polluting the cities by overcrowding of cars and no laws. There is too much pollution and it is affecting our lives.
We are also cutting our trees and making buildings instead. The construction activity is so feverish that we are creating a mess and pollution is further increasing. Added to it currently, we are being affected in Delhi by stubble burning in neighboring areas.
Our eyes water, out throats, hurt, and the nose gets blocked. It is completely affecting our lungs and bodies. Should we not start the first step of purifying our homes and making them peaceful?
This is where we make a great start with natural simple practices.
Purify your home with natural practices
#1. Grow Purifying Plants in your home: The easiest way to purify your home is by growing purifying plants. Now, I am smiling because the natural reaction is: “What are you suggesting? I have no space.”
The plants I am suggesting are simple plants and grow anywhere without much care. They are selfless. They don’t need space or time. They are evergreen. You can even hang them in small pots, put them outside the door or simply keep them inside a room and they will grow. They are common plants. Let me suggest some to you:
(i) Crotons: Crotons make your home lively and bring color to your house. They are in red, green, yellow colors. One plant and so many colors. Throughout the year they will keep smiling in your house.
(ii) Money Plant: The common money plant grows anywhere. They look pretty and stay green throughout the year. They give us pleasure too.
(iii) Spider Plant: This is green always and little sprouts of leaves come out in bunches looking like spider’s own territory, but very pretty. It is completely green.
The benefit of Purifying Plants
I am suggesting only three plants because people in large cities will complain that they have space constraints.
The benefits of these plants are that they suck the bad air from the house and clean air flows in. In the process called photosynthesis, thee plants are able to convert the carbon dioxide that we exhale into fresh oxygen, and they help in removing toxins from the air we breathe and make it fresh.
#2. Burning Incense: The second effective technique is to sweep and clean the house and keep it neat and every morning after cleaning the house burn incense.
Incense is available in sachets, stick, or powder form. There are many varieties available. They have different perfumes. A light perfume of sandalwood, lavender, rose is good for purification. Incense is also available in orange, yellow, and red and they are for energizing the environment.
In most Asian countries incense is available in plenty. Do not think twice. Take a natural one, use it, and see the effect.
The Benefits of burning incense
Incense brings in purity and calming effect in the house. It gives you peace. It takes away the bad air and brings in sweet-smelling soft nectar-like perfume in the house. It helps in removing stress, gives you good sleep, by removing bad air and replace it with good air. Just remember to take the pure natural incense.
#3. Keep Neem Leaves In your Home: Neem leaves purify the air. They are natural air filters. They take away pollution from the house. Just take a branch from the Neem Tree. Ask the tree for natural help. One thin small branch that is a twig can be used for 3 months. I usually keep it in my store where I keep my woolen and other expensive clothes.
Benefits of Neem Leaves.
Neem has many benefits. It clears the air completely and keeps the home free from pollution. When someone has a fever or chickenpox neem leaves are kept close to the patient to clear the air. Neem soaps are used to clear skin problems and for moisturizing the skin.
#4.Deep Breath every morning: Deep breathing for 15 minutes in the morning help in a big way to exhale bad air and take in the fresh air. The whole day you and your home will feel pure and energized. The deep breathing techniques that are highly recommended in India are through yoga. It is called Pranayam and the exercises are called Kapalabhati or forcefully releasing your breath and Anulom Vilom or alternate nostril breathing or breathing in from one nostril and breathing out through the other.
Benefits of Deep Breathing
Deep breathing takes out all the impure air and helps to breathe in the fresh air. Through this, the lungs throw away the pollution that goes in and makes the lungs strong. It is useful in making the immune system strong and is also useful to keep away viruses, including stronger viruses like COVID 19.
