Prompt: Work

A hard worker I know.

I know a man and all he knows is his work. From morning ’til night such dedication and herculean strength to finish other people’s needs.

He’s worked all his life in various jobs from salesman to court clerk. Researching case files and working with criminals, his life is not minimal, but raw. I am always in awe.

He learned how people think and manipulate. He changed his fate and became a man that worked with his hands and still does to-date.

Strong as an ox, but a little older. Life is so much bolder now. You should see him work, you would say, “Wow! You did all this?”

Came from another country when he was eighteen and wanted the “American Dream.” Lived it for awhile then was stripped of his fortune, housing collapse of 2008. Lost his family, house and all.

But he discovered himself and mostly God. Brought up to be proud and strong, honest, to never do wrong. Humble and kind and I’m proud to say he’s mine.

A man of God being constantly trod by people of unscrupulous means.

Some clients are good and follow the signed contract. Some are just jerks interrupting his work with constant demands for changes. Now the contract is inert.

Praying for this wonderful being because I am seeing a diamond in the rough. He takes no guff just keeps moving to do his stuff.

Some days life for him is overwhelming being his own boss. Sometimes he has to take a loss which changes his course in living.

I cry for this sweet person and try not to burden to add to his life’s weight.

We met a few years ago. How this came about I swear we don’t know. Just two hearts afloat trying to find a safe harbor.

We had our own lives but we suddenly were struck to help each other to see there could be a better way for both of us to be.

I see him as a shaman, a medicine man and wise king. That’s the thing, the attraction to be his queen.

He’s there for me and me for him. I am bowled over with his charm and when he comes over we can relax and put the world away for another day. Me and the Wild man. @stardust-and-the-wild-man-eba08a2b7e5f
