Promises-No One Keeps

I whispered in your ear; “please never leave”.

You promised me you won’t

Deep down i always knew you were gonna leave someday

Being hopeful was the only way out for that day

You promised to be on my side

But you chose someone else’s side

You made me promise you; to put a crown on your finger one day

I am still waiting with ring, waiting for one day

Where are you now?

In my dreams, imaginations and memories

I want you here to keep my promise

Make you mine and make my parents proud

Make you happy

That makes me happy

But what about your promises?

No one keeps their promises?
