Prince Harry Has Already Done More For Princess Diana Than His Father Ever Did

I don’t care if he wins or loses, he had the “balls” to speak up and that’s what counts

Prince Harry will go down in history as the royal that challenged the world’s largest media companies.

No one will ever take that away from him. He is the first British royal to testify in court in over 100 years. That already should tell you a lot about him.

His father, the King, and his brother the future king advised him not to do it, they told him that the media’s obsession with their lives was part of the price to pay for being a royal. Harry doesn’t agree, and he is right. It is not because something has always been there that it’s right.

Prince Harry has had to live for most of his life without his mother because of that same media and the cruel and sadistic ways they use to get content. Someone had to say something, someone had to do something, someone had to set boundaries, and he had the courage, albeit the “balls” to do so.

To that, I say, “Well done Prince Harry”.

Like most of you, I didn’t personally know Princess Diana. What I can feel from the various interviews she gave at the time, was how she suffered and was exasperated about the media following her every move.

I ask myself, at what stage does media fascination become outright abuse?

Princess Diana was tracked like a hunted animal and this led to her tragic death in a dark, filthy tunnel in Paris on that fatal day in August 1997. She didn’t deserve to die that way, nobody does.

And yet, despite knowing she was being pursued by paparazzi when she crashed, no one sued the media for the role they played in her death, no one.

In his book, Spare, Prince Harry said that he wanted to sue those responsible for her death, the media, but his family discouraged him saying that it wouldn’t serve any purpose.

The media didn’t give up their questionable practices of obtaining info about the royals following Princess Diana’s death.

Prince Harry has proof that they tapped his phone, thus engaged in criminal activity to know about his whereabouts, about who he was dating — in short about his entire life.

They were relentless in their pursuit, evil even. Princess Diana had suspected her phone was being tapped at the time. It greatly affected her mental health. She was stressed and anxious because of this, and that surely also played a role in her untimely death.

Prince Harry struggles with anxiety and panic attacks — all of which could be the result of him feeling spied on since the start of his life. He can’t just accept that this media interference is normal and that he and his family simply need to accept it for the rest of their lives.

He is standing up to fight against that and that is more than anyone in that family ever did for his mom.

Furthermore, he doesn’t want to lose his wife or his children the way he lost his mother.

Prince Harry has testified in court over the last weeks. For the time being, we don’t know the outcome of the trial.

But, from wherever she is, I’m sure Princess Diana is proud of him and is hopeful that justice will finally be served.

Thank you for reading my perspective.
