PRICED Possession

Amongst her mother’s possessions, she found a small knife that reminded her of her dead father who use to take all the money from her mother by threatening her and her sister.

The pointed tip of the knife, the sharpness of the blade, she could still feel all on her neck. She remembered how much her mother hated him, but was forced to stay with him for the sake of society.

This knife now reminded her of the ugly past and also the strength that this knife gave them to stand up for herself and her mother.
