Praying Hands Club Taps Into Something Much Deeper than Any Previous NFT Drop to Date 🙏

I believe these will sellout, and may prove to be among the most dearly HODL’d NFTs in many collectors’ wallets for a long time to come.

In a time of almost every imaginable PFP NFT being offered, the team behind the Praying Hands Club (PHC) came up with one of the more unique generative NFT ideas out there — 2,222 sets of praying hands. They’re minting right now and won’t last long.

I’ve got to say — as much as I love all of the apes and other animals out there dominating the NFT scene, and as much as I also love many of the abstract or technical NFT projects — there’s just something so striking about sets of praying hands. The PHC, via its artist Bad Lucky, has captured something deeper — the human elements of hope, goodwill, and compassion — in a way that transcends any individual faith or organized religion.

PHC has shared just a relative few images thus far, but it’s clear that the imagery speaks to something deeper within us all — our struggles and challenges, our problems and situations, our dreams and ambitions in the complex, modern world. These NFTs may be best described not with the usual descriptor — “traits” — but perhaps rather with the notion of metaphors. Each NFT promises to inspire a level of reflection that seems absolutely appropriate. Here are a few from their Twitter feed:

As I’ve been involved in so many NFT drops to date, I can all but assure you that many of the generative combinations will surprise even the artist, as it’s always ultra-difficult for anyone to envision all of the possible combinations in a generative art NFT project. This will be one of those collections that people will particularly enjoy browsing through once the set reveals. Each one seems so much more than merely an image; they all have a unique story to tell. And that’s what I love so much about the set.

If I’ve learned one thing, of course, it’s that predicting a market is impossible. So, I can’t say what investors will make of this one. But, my personal take on it is that the set could easily become so beloved among HODLers that that alone will likely drive up long-term value. Also, with this drop being so remarkably different from the pack, it’ll surely garner considerable continued attention and should easily remain top-of-mind for years to come. (Indeed, their Discord has recently exploded to 15k members, and their Twitter following is now 21k. Both auspicious signs!)
