Prayer; Before, Now, and After.

Never forget the three powerful resources you always have available to you: love, prayer, and forgiveness. H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

When I was a child, I would join in prayer cos mum hounded us.

You couldn’t miss the early morning bell or the knocks on the door.

Hiss and grumble all you want, rebel, and see how far that gets you.

You’ll still join the clan even if you are half asleep.

Fast forward to my college years when it was time to blaze my path.

The habit had stuck.

Each day seemed incomplete without it.

I disliked mindless ramblings and excessive use of words.

It felt like answering exam questions you were unsure of but felt the need to fill the sheets.

I either muttered from the depths of my heart or made clear concise requests.

I still do.

Prayer is a buffer when life throws its blows.

It gives me inspiration, wisdom, clarity, and tranquility.

I have lived almost four decades and I still have more to cover.

Would I still pray as a habit?

Most likely!
