The power of words and another day is gone What is remembered and what acts are done In the shadows of mankind arrows are flung From a whisper to a scream voices are heard How many times must history be relived

Power of words, they strike and they hurt People are mangled and children are killed We’ve walked on the moon Yet we leave many for dead and many are hungry Power of words cut like a sword

Carry on in a world of meaningless words Cry out to the gods for mercy and surrender Fall on your knees before your children Beg for forgiveness for your words that cut so deep Do you know the power of your words

Power of words, they can love and resolve Chose your thoughts, chose your words Let wisdom prevail Let experience teach Carry your words in your heart before you speak

Know the power of your words Cleans your soul with loving thoughts and acts of love Be good to you and thus you’re good to others Your powerful words, use them to love The power of your words, Power of words
