Dancing Elephants Press Book Project — Motivation — Group 1
Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.” ― Roy T. Bennett
Why you should practice positivity
Do you think you have control over your life?
You can purposefully make a decision to develop a positive mindset and greet each new day with an air of expectancy and gratitude.
Being positive is a choice.
Each of you possesses the power to choose how you live this day.
In fact, your viewpoint directly impacts your will allowing you to withstand the fire of your testing.
Make no mistake, life will test you.
No one gets a free pass.
The universe is the school with life’s peaks and valleys as our teachers.
If you focus on the lessons with a positive mindset, you will always leave the classroom of life wiser than you entered.
Living your life with a positive purpose
Science states that the benefits of a positive mind will improve your health both physically and psychologically.
Indeed, some studies show that personality traits such as optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being.
The positive thinking that comes with seeing your glass as half full rather than half empty is a key and effective part of stress management.
According to Johns Hopkins — The mechanism for the connection between health and positivity remains murky, but researchers suspect that more positive people may be better protected against the inflammatory damage of stress.
Another possibility is that hope and positivity help people make better health and life decisions and focus more on long-term goals. Studies also find that negative emotions can weaken the immune response.
What is clear, however, is that there is a strong link between “positivity” and health.
Additional studies have found that a positive attitude improves outcomes and life satisfaction across a spectrum of conditions — including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and brain tumors.
These are just a small number among the myriad of studies and personal experiences that tout the benefits of positive thinking.
I have my own experiences to draw from and I can personally speak about harvesting from the garden of positivity that I cultivated.
I have tried it and I am convinced that it works.
Remember
Life is pot-holed with many challenges.
Though some people seem to be challenged more than others.
Do not see your “tests” as more than you can handle.
See them as obstacles to overcome.
You can and will get through tough times.
Remember you can do whatever you set your mind to!
Strive to keep hope alive.
Hope is the wing upon which your dreams will take flight.
You and only you get to decide if you will react in a positive way.
The way you choose to react will determine the effort you expend and the results you achieve.
Choose wisely.
Stay positive.
