Positive Thoughts: A Poem

Maybe relax and let it flow

In pursuit of happiness, you’ve tried,

Filling your mind with thoughts, far and wide.

But attachments to outcomes bring despair,

Unhappiness lurking, it’s just not fair.

A distinction emerges, clear as day,

Between happy thoughts and feelings, they say.

A way of thinking, to savor the present,

Embracing the moment, pure and pleasant.

Yet another way, deceiving and sly,

Thinking of potentials, possibilities, oh my!

But they’re not what’s real, not what’s true,

Leaving you empty, feeling blue.

Realization dawns, a lesson learned,

To cherish the now, the present earned.

For happy thoughts may come and go,

But happy feelings, they truly glow.

So let go of attachments, embrace the now,

Discover the joy, the happiness, somehow.

In the difference lies the key,

To unlock the mind, and set your spirit free.

Hope you liked the poem.
