Positive sparks journal — 1 day, 1 story
‘The quality of having a positive attitude’ — Positivity is the theme of my series.
The inspiration comes from my previous journal entries to store and record this vulnerable time.
However, rather than keeping a record-book for historical reference, I’m viewing this journal to add great stories, inspiring stories or even the positive sparks news around me.
Why?
The simplest reason is, while the world is drenching in negative vibes for the COVID-19, only the positive attitude will inspire to fight towards this vulnerable time.
I believe, in the darkest days- to overcome fear, negativity & frustration; all we need a little spark of positiveness among us.
And it is not difficult to found; it is around us, around the world.
Hope my series inspires others to share the positiveness in their family and thus thrive with hope & strength.

Half Marathon run- completed on an apartment balcony during the lockdown
Imagination, creativity and determination are the ingredients to achieve great feats.
Who knew that half marathon (13 mile / 21 Kilometers) can be completed in a tiny balcony of an apartment? Determined English runner Sam Hustler did.
Sam was scheduled for the half-marathon in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, however due to the shutdown — the race was cancelled.
Also, Sam’s girlfriend was in-isolation for the relevant symptoms (both were sharing the same apartment) — Sam had to come up with something innovative.
What he did?
He mapped out the length of the balcony and did 5000+ laps to complete the half-marathon distance.
By the way,
Sam found the inspiration from another individual from France, named Elisha Nochomovitz
— who finished the full marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km; although the city Toulouse was technically not in lockdown.
Cheers to Sam & Elisha for showing ‘anything is possible’, along with proving that creativity can outrun the limitations.

It is also attempting to distribute food among 500,000 people, who requires the support immediately.
Currently they are distributing around 5,000 packs of foods daily & are escalating their reach to increase the supply, with the support of the volunteers across Bangladesh.
You can also contribute to their campaign, by donating in their crowd funding.

‘rice ATMs’ in Vietnam to help people, who are out of work
Vietnam is in lockdown, amidst the coronavirus outbreak in the world, leaving thousands of citizens without work.
In this lockdown, without work — people are facing difficulties to continue their livelihood.
Solution?
‘rice ATMs’ are popping up in different cities across Vietnam.

Cities like Hanoi (capital), Hue and Ho Chi Minh are supported with several food ATMs to help the people-in need.
And people are maintaining relevant distancing (6 feet gap within) and are using hand-sanitizers before receiving rice from ATMs.
Thanks to the innovative businessman Hoang Tuan Anh from Ho Chi Minh — who identified the idea from internet and escalated it for this emergency support.
