Politics In The United States Have Become So Hateful

Partisan does not have to mean contention

Washington, D.C. is where the Congress of the United States meets

The capital city of the United States, Washington, D.C. is a tourist destination. It is a wonderful city full of rich history, magnificent buildings, statues, and natural beauty. Millions of people from all around the world have visited to learn from and enjoy the area.

Spring is especially beautiful in Washington, D.C. as the cherry blossoms come out in their glory. The cherry trees, which were originally a gift from the Mayor of Tokyo, Japan, are a sight to behold. Thousands of people visit the Tidal Basin to view the cherry blossoms each day during the season when the trees are blooming. They bring peace and beauty to the region.

The capitol building in Washington, D.C. is also a place which people want to visit to see the government in action. Members of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives are there to make laws which will affect the people of the United States and sometimes the world. Representing all the states, these members of Congress have important work to do.

Partisan politics have become quite difficult and even hateful. The members of the two major parties rarely can come to agreement on important issues facing the nation. There is more discord among the body than had been the case in the past. Members who were in Congress years ago lament the fact that the current members are not willing to compromise and understand the other’s positions in most cases.

The parties will generally vote as a body to send a message. Few members will vote against their party’s wishes. Those who do are brave and take a chance by following their moral compass.

The President of the United States always is the target of a lot of hate and anger from opposing party politicians and some members of the general public.

It is generally impossible to please everyone. There will always be dissension and conflict. There are two sides to every issue. There is opposition. There can be meaningful discussion and compromise without so much hate.

The politics of the United States have become extremely hateful. It is, unfortunately, a reflection of the country as a whole. There should be more consideration and acceptance among the people and in Congress.
