I just never know

There’s so many things to think about

So many meters and styles, I could shout

Without the right ingredients, a poem could not be worse!

Poems can be free verse, with no rhyme or reason

They are long, they are short

It makes no difference

None at all

However hard poetry is, there’s something harder still

A world without poetry, where man gets no such thrill

As writing that most perfect line, that fills other men with wonder

At how the writer writes with ease, his lines contain no blunder

Yes, poems are hard

But so are most things in life

Good or bad, just write
