Dear Love, Don’t Love Me To Death
Poetry
When I am away, You call me hundred times a day, I ask, Are you being possessive? You respond with that humble smile you own, Not at all! Just protecting my precious possession.,
When buying me a beautiful dress or glittering jewel or a lovely handbag, You never look at the price tag, I ask, Are you not concerned about the cost? You politely ignore my question and ask me in turn, Does love has a value?
When I go into labor to bring your flesh and blood, to our amazing world, You sob like a child seeing me suffer in physical pain.,
Holding my little one close to my chest, I ask Whom do you love the most? In a jiffy, you respond The one who bore pain to gift me symbol of my love.,
One day, I ask, How will you bear pain if I return to where I belong — dirt You remain silent, but your teary eye says it all.,
Oh,baby! You love me more than I deserve.,
To you, I owe my entire life…
