While Depression may send You boozing in the bars. Anxiety is the one that sends you running for the razors.
Stuck in the Middle With You
On the Spectrum With Pervasive, Debilitating Anxiety

Anxiety, neurologically runs amok The Amygdala is pervasively stuck Frozen in places, caught by surprise Ever so fearful, manifested generalized
Triggered responses of fight, fight, or freeze The brain never signals the responses to cease The wish of the Autistic is to calm the calamity My prayer – a rare few moments of tranquility
I’m stuck in the middle with you And I’m wondering what it is I should do It’s so hard to keep a smile on my face Losing control, I’m all over the place
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right And I’m wondering what it is I should do I am helpless in debilitating fright I’m stuck in the middle with you
