Poetry: Beyond Beliefs

Save Yourself

I got to keep going, ya know? I can’t let your woes destroy my soul I can’t let this darkness overtake and keep me at home I got to move forward; I have to let go

My purpose was to help those like you My purpose is to serve those broken who’ve lost their truth Beyond their beliefs, there was darkness in both of you In the depths, though, all can be used for good As painful as it is, this can only make one stronger

Go up or go down Go crazy or stay sound There is only one way to go You have to jump from this ride This painful merry go round filled with silent sound

Save yourself Save your soul Save your spirit Save your mind Save the one thing not endless, your time

Find the magic in the pain Find the silver lining, even if it makes you temporarily insane Don’t let the death choke you of life Don’t let the horror rob you and fill you with endless strife

Save yourself.
