Poem: What Others See

Daily Dose of Philosophy

Photo by Randy Jacob on Unsplash

People claim to know who I am, Yet do not seek my past actions. They rather create an image, Made that of their own fantasies. People only see what they want, They view me through their lenses. Impose their experiences, And limit their understanding, To only what they know. Hard for them to see your growth, Through envy and ignorance. Rare it is to see past their thoughts. For their journey is separate, As is their thoughts, from that of yours. We are the sum of our actions, And that we must not forget.

Thank you for taking the time and reading my poetry. I hope that you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more from the Daily Dose of Philosophy.
