Poem for Peace
with every breath
Today, we celebrate the life of Congressman John Lewis and silently acknowledge the passing of souls not so publicly known, who did their part, that our children may know a world of peace.
With every breath, may we breathe peace.
With every breath, may we see the beauty in others eyes.
With every step may we step softly and in peace.
They say, ‘no pain, no gain’, that ‘crying out the pain is part of the Healing Game’.
The game of life where we chose to Be.
To live abundantly or not at all. To live with peace or not at all.
To celebrate our uniqueness, our divinity, our links with peace and unity.
The keystone of our liberty.
With every breath we take, may we breathe peace.
May we make it through the torrent of despair.
With every breath, may we heal, put order into place.
Rebuild our foundation, nurture ourselves, reclaim our heritage, our land, our crown.
With every breath we take, may we breathe peace. === Keep rising, dear gentle hearts.
