Podcasting as a Marketing Tool?

With the emergence of Clubhouse, social audio consumption has skyrocketed.

There’s been a lot of buzz around podcasting as a marketing tool to grow your business and as a learning platform to acquire new skills.

Whether you want to launch your own podcast, be featured as a guest on top shows, or simply find great content to learn from, there’s a lot of noise out there, and it’s tough to know what’s valuable and what’s not.

As of April 2021, there are more than 2 million podcasts in existence and it’s become increasingly difficult to separate the quality shows from the time-wasters.

Up until recently, there wasn’t an easy way to find shows worth listening to and discover awesome “under the radar” shows that you should be listening to, but are most likely missing out on.

That changed with last year’s launch of Podcast Magazine®, the world’s first publication dedicated exclusively to podcast FANS — covering the world of podcasting, podcast culture and the people who bring the industry forward….

I am happy to say that I am the Government Category Director for Podcast Magazine and it has been an honor to help spotlight great Government podcasts.

Podcast magazine gives a voice to incredible talent you wouldn’t otherwise know about.

Podcast Magazine takes readers ”beyond the microphone” and into the lives of leading podcasters as they open up about their personal journeys and lessons learned along the way.

High profile podcasters including Rachel Hollis, Dave Ramsey, Jenna Kutcher, Glynn Washington, John Lee Dumas, Adam Carolla, Jillian Michaels, and Hal Elrod have all graced the cover and shared powerful stories.

I recently sat down with Podcast Magazine CEO Steve Olsher, on my Clubhouse Lead Gen show to get his thoughts on how podcasting is changing and emerging into what he calls Podcasting 2.0.
