Play It Real Cool
Poetry

We were brought together the way a white shirt attracts dirt Ghetto fabulous struggling college student A serious, nerdy, successful engineer One believes life is spontaneous The other with a well-laid-out life plan Quite neat, organized, well put together Loud, messy, creative, unruly Money wasn’t a thing While lack of money was everything One look, one date, one kiss None of that mattered They found A soul mate to argue with for the rest of their lives
This poem was written in response to Carolyn Hasting's prompt.
