Pirouette Dreams

A Poem

She dreams, reminiscing the past.

Pirouetting across the stage for adoring fans.

Her claim to fame was rewarding yet brief.

Disease riddled her body stripping away her heart, her passion.

Once a bright light amongst the stars, now a dimmed flicker of herself.

Crying forgotten tears washing her soul clean she watches bygone performances and imagines the pirouette dancing in her soul And smiles for the young girl in a green tutu now a memory
