Pinterest pays me $300 to $500 to pin for them

I’ve been a Pinterest fanatic since I first discovered the platform back in 2012.

Since then I’ve used Pinterest to drive traffic to my various website projects, work with clients one-on-one as a Pinterest manager, make money through Pinterest affiliate marketing, and more.

Now, they’re offering creator incentives that pay you up to hundreds of dollars per pin!

Here’s how it works…

Getting paid as a Pinterest Creator

In full transparency, I have not been paid yet as I just started using this a few days ago when I learned about it.

I was playing around on my Pinterest account and discovered the Earn tab under Creator Hub.

It’s only visible on mobile so I can see it on my phone and iPad but not on my computer.

When you click into Earn for the first time, you will need to agree to the terms and set up your payment details.

Then you will get access to these micro grant opportunities.

I don’t know if they are the same for every Pinterest account but for me, they range from paying out $300 to $500 per pin and up to $1,000 per campaign for some campaigns.

Some campaigns don’t have a limit shown so if you get approved for 10 pins at $500, then $5,000! That’s my understanding, at least.

I love that Pinterest is paying creators like some other social networks have been doing, including Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and others.

Some things to note about my Pinterest account

  • It’s at least 2 years old
  • I have 13,000+ followers and over 2 million monthly views
  • I am active on Pinterest daily

That’s about it.

But, you don’t need to have tens of thousands of followers or have an aged account to join Creator Rewards.

What are the requirements to join Creator Rewards?

The minimum number of followers required for this is 1,000 followers. There are other requirements too, like:

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must be located in the U.S.
  • You must use the Pinterest app on your mobile phone
  • You must create original content
  • You must have created at least 3 idea pins

You can apply to join Creator Rewards on the Pinterest app and according to Pinterest, if you’re eligible, you’ll be able to click Get Started.

I haven’t seen a lot of info about this yet online so it’s exciting to be one of the first to talk about it!

I did find one Tik Tok creator who covers this topic often.

Here’s a recent Tik Tok video of hers which also shows what the Creator Rewards tab looks like and what a payment balance looks like…

Final word

I’m excited to start using this new Pinterest feature more this month.

Have you started using Creator Rewards? What has been your experience?
