Opinions

  • The author initially desired a peaceful and extended morning sleep.
  • The cat's grooming behavior was perceived as both amusing and irritating due to its timing and the disturbance it caused.
  • The morning elixir appears to be a routine health practice for the author, taken seriously enough to prioritize over sleep.
  • The author seems to have a fondness for their cat, as they found the cat's subsequent sleep on the pillow endearing and could not bring themselves to disturb the cat.
  • There is a sense of resignation mixed with affection as the author accepts the interruption and decides to begin their day's work, implying that the cat's companionship outweighs the inconvenience.

Pillow Thief

So much for sleeping in

Saturday morning. I expected a nice, leisurely lie-in. Instead, I was rudely awakened by a pillow thief.

My younger cat climbed up on my head and began vigorously (and noisily!) grooming herself. Lick, lick, purr, purr. The weight, the sound, the vibration… I was awake.

I got up, went into the bathroom, and had a glass of morning elixir. (Two teaspoons of colloidal metals added to water.) It needs to be taken on an empty stomach, so that’s always the first thing I do every morning.

I came back into the bedroom, expecting to go back to bed, and discovered she had taken possession of the pre-warmed pillow. In typical cat fashion, she was now sound asleep.

She looked so adorable. How could I move her?

I needed to be up and getting things done, anyway.
