How to Picture Your Prosperity And Watch It Unfold Right Before Your Very Eyes

It all starts with your vision.

The adage “a picture speaks a thousand words” is true! Pictures evoke emotions, and emotions communicate what matters to us. The power of visual images explains why advertising is so pervasive and influential. Images can trigger, motivate and move us.

Like the shocking image of the body of the three-year-old Syrian refugee washed up on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. That image shook us all and spoke louder about the plight of Syrian refugees fleeing from their homes than any words could have.

The Power of Your Imagination

Pictures start in our minds. As Robin Sharma said, “Everything is always created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.” ~ The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. Everything ever created starts in someone’s imagination.

Our imaginations can create a vision of what we want. It would be a new job, a new relationship, wealth, or health. Everything starts with a picture in our mind.

Science shows us that thought is involved in the manifestation of physical reality. So what reality do you want? Start with a picture of it in your mind.

The Power of Your Beliefs

The power of your thoughts is rooted in your beliefs, which influence your life’s outcomes. Think positive thoughts, and you are more likely to achieve positive results. Think negative thoughts, and you’ll get more of that. According to science, most of our thoughts are negative.

Dr. Jordan Poppenk (Psychology) and his master’s student, Julie Tseng, of Queens University studied thought patterns and came up with the term “thought worms” — consecutive moments when a person is focused on the same idea. They discovered that the average person has over 6,000 new thoughts per day.

And a staggering 80% of these are negative.

Most of us focus on what is lacking in our lives, rather than what we want out of life. We want more money but focus on how we lack wealth. Pivoting requires being mindful of what occupies our thoughts and deciding to change it to something more empowering.

Picture Your Prosperity

Once you are clear about what you want and it aligns with what you value, start to envision it. Picture it in your mind. Make it vivid — how will it taste, touch and smell?

If you want a new relationship, picture what that would look and feel like. Imagine holding hands with a new lover. If you want a new job, imagine what life would be like if you had that new job. What about a new house? What color, how many bedrooms, where would it be located?

The more vividly you can imagine the desired outcome, the more likely you can attract it because it will inspire you to take action towards achieving your goal.

Take Inspired Action

Just thinking about something will not help you achieve your goal. Instead, you must follow your dreams by taking action inspired by your desires.

Today, find a quiet space and picture your prosperity. Prosperity does not have to mean money. It can mean whatever you want it to mean. It could mean launching a business, traveling abroad, or passing your exams. Put as much detail as possible towards that vision.
