Picture of You
You have your whole life to paint that picture
Hey, you want to know something? I am okay with not knowing everything about me. I am okay that I don’t have it all figured out yet but that doesn’t mean that I won’t eventually. I’m still working on the bits and pieces and it’s okay that I haven’t gotten there yet. I get stuck on what colors to use sometimes or even if I like the color at all. I don’t know if some parts of this personal picture should have been shaded or should be erased and hell, there are some art tools I probably don’t even know about yet that would spark life into this picture of mine, this picture of me.
But hey? Isn’t that the joy of life? We have a whole life to search and learn and discover all these personal and unique traits that make us all one-of-a-kind masterpieces, different drops of color, personal splatters from fighting with paint. We all have certain colors, brushes, and tools we learn to use, like, or even don’t work best with us. Your colorful eyes may fade due to color that is leaking or splashed from others. People that come in and make “Improvements” to your work without the experience behind their own, leaving your picture with uneven marks and tones on the skin.
Some of us get pretty messed up in this whole process and have to start over again clean slate but with every new beginning, we have the chance to learn so much more. With a clean slate, the colors take to the paper so brightly, and with more experience each time around? I learn to enjoy painting this picture of myself. My life is a learning work of art and the more I learn the brighter my colors will get.
