PHOTOGRAPHY FULL FRAME
Photographing Sand, Seashells, Pebbles, and More
To help bring balance to my life.

Going for a walk at the beach and photographing treasures found on my path helps calm my mind and refocus my intentions, especially in my creative life.

For me, the start of each year has been chaotic. Typically, I feel overwhelmed. My thoughts are all over the place. It’s hard to be centered and find balanced.

This week, I started something new. I’m practicing mindfulness and slow breathing through meditation. It helps remove chaos by slowing my thought process. I can see more clearly.
For example, the above picture is simple and doesn’t have the wow factor, but in slowing down, I can now appreciate how the light casts the shadows and how it brings out the texture in the sand and the specular light on the rock—creating a little interest.

Found more treasures in the sand. I appreciate all of the elements in this image. It’s simple and quiet.

Of course, footprints in the sand are a subject all on their own. I’m sure people have written many articles about footprints in the sand. I think footprints are like fingerprints, individually different in size and shape. And tell different stories.
I hope this article inspires you to slow down and appreciate the moment. Your mind and your photography will appreciate it.
Thank you for stopping by!
