Photo-Realistic AI Images
Beginners guide to using Mage.Space.

You do not need to create an account to use Mage.Space, only if you want to access previously made AI images.
Note: Mage.Space will let you create those racy images that Midjourney and NightCafe do not!
Mage.Space quickly creates pretty good, detailed images (1 image is generated at a time — taking up to a minute), and the best part — it is completely free! There are no points to collect, no trial hours. Free!
I tried out this AI program after some frustrations with Midjourney — to which they made a game-changing upgrade! Okay, it’s in testing, but it is a game-changer!!
AI image-generating programs are growing by leaps and bounds faster than a jackrabbit being chased by a bobcat! Not long after information is published, there are more changes. Welcome to technology!

When you go to the Mage.Space web page, you are greeted with the above to enter your writing prompt. They do have a Discord server, but I prefer the “silence” of working alone on the website.
Below the prompt box, you have the view options.

The aspect ratio is the ( — — ar) coding used in Midjourney and NightCafe.

The more steps — the higher the quality with diminished returns. Let’s run a couple of examples.

This Christmas tree was created with the 25 steps option.

This Christmas tree was created with the 50 steps option. Both are stunning images and neither was enhanced.

The guidance scale (on the lower end) gives Mage.Space freedom to be creative while on the more strict end — must adhere more closely to your prompt. Let’s look at some examples.

The guidance scale for this image is free (2.5).

The guidance scale for this image is free (7.5). Still beautiful, but less festive. I had AI create several images before settling on this one. The others had more simple presents, a much more simplistic tree, or presents on the tree.

The guidance scale for this image is strict (12.5). The prompt (below the guidance scale images) is set to be elegant. As the guidance scale is increased, the elegance — the magic, actually diminishes as AI tries to adhere to the gifts and tree.

The guidance scale for this image is very strict (17.5). You can see how the magic and elegance of the Christmas setting decreased as the scale was pushed higher. The first image of this set of four is my favorite (set at free.) What is your favorite?

Under the prompt box, you can check the advanced box, changing your options to those in the photo above.
Instead of 25 or 50 steps for quality, you have a slider bar. The four buttons for the guidance scale also has a slider bar.
I have not dove into seed yet but the negative prompt is for things you want to exclude. For instance, you are generating a mountain picture and do not want trees in the image. You would list trees in the negative prompt.
Note: In Midjourney, you would put “no trees” as part of the prompt — without quotation marks.

After an image generates, this is part of that window. You have options to download the image to your device, to enhance it — making it higher quality, to rerun — to generate a new image, to remix — the AI program will automatically generate a seed value, while reimage will alter the quality and guidance scale.
