Photo Challenge: Take a Picture and Show Me Your Sky!

Do you like to take pictures of the sky?

Hey all you amateur photographers out there. Do you like to take pictures of the sky, no matter what type of day it is? I do.

In fact, I love doing this so much, that I managed to accumulate a huge number of photos of the sky, taken just over the last few months alone.

I’ve got some really cool pictures of the sky, but I’ll bet a lot of you probably have some that are just as awesome.

If you do, I welcome you to share them in a story (that sounds a little better than “challenge”). This isn’t meant to be a competition or anything, just a fun way to share some pics.

It doesn’t have to be a big deal or a long drawn out story. Just upload a few photos, write a few words, and publish the story — easy peasy.

I’ll show you mine if you show me yours

I’ve been fascinated with looking at the sky and taking pictures for as long as I can remember. Now, thanks to the magic and convenience of cell phones, I can take a snapshot whenever I’m inspired, and apparently, I’ve been inspired a lot. I easily have a hundred different sky photos.

I never really gave it much thought until recently, when a Medium writer named Blessing Oluchukwu Awamba mentioned in her About Me story that:

"I also have this weird affinity to take a picture of the sky."

I left her a response and admitted that this was also something I enjoyed doing. And from the moment that I shared that information, I’ve been thinking about all the photos that are stacking up on my phone, and also some that I transferred to the computer.

When I decided to compile all the photos into one folder, I was really impressed at some of the beautiful shots I was able to capture.

Being the big ham that I am, the first thing I wanted to do was show them off online. I organized a few of the ones I really liked. Then I went a step further and put them to music, in a little slide show.

So if you’re in the mood for a little moment of Zen, why not sit back, and enjoy this visual and musical treat.

I appreciate you taking the time to view my photos, and I hope you feel inspired enough to show off some of your own.

Sometime in the future, I’ll be sure creating a major display project, containing all the submissions.

So look over your photos and see what you’ve got, or if you want to, just go out an snap some photos, share a few sentences about them, and —

“Everything Goode” Submission page

FYI: I discovered something really interesting about myself, while sifting through all these photos. Apparently, I also like taking pictures of trees.

I have a gang of those also!
