World Poetry Day

Petrarchan

Sonnet - in response to W9 prompt

“You don’t write because you want to say something you write because you have something to say” - F. Scott Fitzgerald

why do words waver with uncertainty brevity caged behind a wall of doubt credence disappearing upon a cloud imagination’s wild insanity?

thoughts crash to the ground with a gravity a resonance of what ifs to drown out all meaning. what if this nothing is nowt but silence to quiet absurdity?

but creativity may never be unwrapped without incorrigible faith teetering timorously on the brink.

then words fly as newborns their wild wings free: such flight and fashion turned upon a lathe. words hot with passion: essence taut with ink.
