Pet Love Is in the Air!
What are you grateful for?
First of all…we are one day from June?! What?! Why is time running so fast? 😅 In this case, this “monthly” challenge will cover May and June altogether. And you know what’s best?
May is National Pet Month in the United States! Woohoo! Last week I was scrolling through the news when I saw that it was International Turtle Day. I never knew there was such a day so I started to investigate other special similar festivities.
If you’re interested, here are some popular ones in no specific order:
- International Dog Day — August 26
- International Cat Day — August 8
- World Turtle Day — May 23
- World Snake Day — July 16
- World Fish Migration Day — May 21
- National Bird Day (US) — May 4
- World Hamster Day — April 12
- National Ferret Day — April 2

So here are some dates on which we can celebrate animals and maybe a pet! This is what all the challenge is about. Have you ever had that special pet that has made wonders in your life? A forever friend? Have you ever had a pet that could never leave your side? Did you grow as a person thanks to a certain pet? If you could talk to them, what would you say? What would you be grateful for? Do you think they are important to have/care for from a young age?
For me, I can definitely say that my dog has led me to be a more responsible and caring person. Receiving so much love from a furry friend can do wonders! I am extremely grateful for having her in my life, I truly don’t know what I would do if I hadn’t had her. She always has the energy to play, she can turn your frown upside down and is a crazy ball of fur who just wants attention. 🐶
