Perfect
I am perfectly imperfect, I am

I’m not perfect, who is? But I do the best that I can.
I once ran a marathon, I didn’t win, but I ran and I ran and I ran.
I once flew a plane, just the once, chasing after clouds just prove that I can, I can, I can.
I’m not perfect, who is?
But I once climbed a mountain in the cold and the rain.
And I enjoyed and endured it so much, I did it again and again and again.
I once learnt to water-ski
And I learnt the hard way, that is not the time to take a pee
Hitting water at speed is like smashing into concrete, it hurts, it hurt, it hurts.
I once learnt to swim for my life
In a sea as strong as Samson with all of his hair, it’s not fair what Delilah did to become his wife to create less of a man.
All I have learned all of my life
Is that whilst I am not perfect
I am perfectly imperfect as I am, I am, I am.
Ergo I am perfect, an imperfectly perfect version
Of a perfectly imperfect man
