WALKING ROUTE 66
People You Meet When You Twist Balloons.
I have met some interesting people over the years.

There was not much to do. I wanted to stay in the form to be able to walk when I did return to Walking Route 66, so I went by Anytime Fitness in Spring, Texas; my home club, and talked to the resident coach to get some pointers to assure that I am taking proper care of myself on the road.
I did put in about three hours of walking on the treadmill, which amounted to about 10 miles.
Afterward, I went by Whataburger and Chick-fil-A, the two places I hang out at when I am in town, to say hi to the people that work there. The franchisee of Chick-Fil-A, Melinda Magdaleno, was thrilled to see me. She wanted to know all about my walk so far.
Then, in the evening, I went to the restaurant to twist balloons as usual. I figured, as long as I am in town and have the opportunity, I might as well make money and improve my finances before I get back on the road relying on the goodness of strangers, I mean, friends I haven’t met yet.
And, I made a new friend that night. I looked at his t-shirt and asked him what team did he play for. He said the Patriots. No, I didn’t ask him about Tom whatshisname. He was there with his little girl enjoying a date night.
As I think back and ponder.
When I first started twisting balloons, in 2008, YouTube was not what it is today, but I found a funny guy who taught how to make simple balloon creations using one or two balloons.
Michael Floyd had a website called balloon (hyphen) animals (dot) com. I enjoyed his humorous style and simple designs and took it upon myself to learn and master one every week. In a few months, I had about 20 or so items in my repertoire that served me well.
Stay blessed and be happy, my friends.
Days 55 & 56; Eid Celebration (Original blog post).
Just for fun.
