Summary

This website features a poem by a 9-year-old named Julius, reflecting on the experiences of patients and healthcare workers, intertwined with a touch of Harry Potter-inspired fantasy.

Abstract

The content of the website presents a heartwarming poem written by Julius, a young boy, which explores the concept of 'patients' as individuals facing various 'situations.' The poem humorously imagines a doctor receiving an invitation to Hogwarts, a fictional school from the Harry Potter series, to write a composition, which may be interpreted as a metaphor for the doctor's role in healing and the fantastical escape from the realities of the medical world. The author of the website, presumably Julius's parent, shares the process of transcribing the poem and reflects on the innocence of a child's perspective amidst the ongoing global health situation, suggesting that a sense of wonder can help us cope with the current challenges. The author hopes that readers will appreciate the blend of wisdom and humor in the poem.

  • The author values the imaginative and whimsical nature of children's creativity, as seen in the poem's unexpected twist involving Harry Potter.
  • There is an underlying appreciation for healthcare professionals, referred to as people who have 'received the invitation' to help others, which is a subtle nod to their dedication and commitment.
  • The poem and the accompanying text convey a sense of optimism and the need for lightheartedness during challenging times, suggesting that such an approach can uplift our spirits.
  • The author implies that engaging with fantasy, such as the Harry Potter series, can serve as a form of escapism and a way to elevate one's mood and perspective.
  • The author believes in the power of childlike wonder to help adults maintain a positive outlook, especially when faced with dense or difficult situations.

People With ‘Situations’

A poem by Julius, my 9-year old son

Who are the patients? They’re people with ‘situations’.

They tried to be patient while waiting for medication.

Look at that doctor He received the ‘invitation’.

He checked who wrote it but it didn’t mention.

He opened it and it said he needs to go to Hogwarts to write a composition.

Afterthoughts

I was typing out his poem as he recited line by line to me. At first, I thought the ‘invitation’ was the invite to schedule for the COVID-19 vaccination appointment, but he swiftly turned to fantasy-writing, having just watched the first Harry Potter movie a few nights ago.

Well, it does feel like we need all the divine intervention we can get, or at least to raise our vibration enough to be in childlike wonder, so the density of this situation doesn’t drag us down.

Hope that you’ll enjoy this little dose of wisdom and humor.

Love, Bingz
