Peeping Tom

A Six-Word Photo Story: Freestyle

When perching duck turns Peeping Tom.

I was walking in my neighborhood when a rustling, leafy sound caught my ear. I looked up, and saw: Peering at me A Muscovy High in the branches Of a sycamore tree.

I admonished the bird: “It’s rude to stare.”

But the duck wouldn’t — or couldn’t — take its eyes off me. (Something to do with my magnetic personality, I think.)

“Fine,” I said to the ogler. “Then, at least hold still.”

And the duck obliged.

It held its creatively angled pose, eyes intense, neck elongated fashionably, while I went click-click-click from several angles. Not to state the obvious or anything, but the lead photo of my avian peeping-tom-turned-model is the one I liked best.

Tagging other Super Six-Worders: Laurie Perez, Christina Daniels, Jason Edmunds.
