Pause
From a series of prompts by Sahil Patel
I pressed pause and capped my wandering thoughts that kept murmuring in my head To focus
I pressed pause to the exhaustive daily routine of my mundane life To recharge
I pressed pause after getting overwhelmed from the unending questions To get my sanity back
I pressed pause on the hustles and bustles of the outside world To tend to my soul
When I pressed pause the world called me lazy insensitive boring weak and what not
One thing they didn’t know I have pressed pause on the negativity too To fill my days with optimism
I pressed pause with a purpose To grow To love To live To help To elevate
I want you to take a pause too to rekindle the sense of passion and purpose and grow wiser.
Thank you Sahil Patel for the amazing series of poetry prompts in honor of National Poetry Month.
