Passion for Time — Being Mindful

Everyday mindfulness

Photo by Giulia Bertelli on Unsplash

You go on with your day, always wanting for more, not enough time. This feeling comes by so many days it's too much to handle sometimes. Sometimes you just want to quit. Take time in your hands. But then you see that time is your friend, not your enemy.

Time is the one that leads you throughout your day, it guides you. You are the one to decide what to do with it. You are the sole decision-maker. With time you can appreciate it, time is by your side. Feel the moment, don’t go away. Appreciate the seconds, minutes, and hours.

It will not leave you, so embrace it. Hold it with your arms wide open. Know what you are doing, enjoy the moment. Thank time. As you will never know when it will run out.

This short form was inspired by the prompt made by Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) where she shares something new that she is passionate about lately. And as many would also agree… it's the series Squid Games!

For my case, it’s a more subjective passion as I have learned how to deal with different emotions at different times and I have now decided to be more mindful and be grateful for how I pass my time.

I’m tagging other fellow writers in this publication and I hope you will also consider joining in on the fun.
