Parents: Stimulate Your Children To Play an Instrument
As a child, I have done lots of things with music. In the first place, I have played the cello. I exchanged the cello for my violin. During my childhood, I also took lots of lessons and played in orchestras.
During my lessons, I knew how I had to practice certain pieces and doing things at the same time: watching the conductor, the concertmaster, and my music sheet, not to forget I think. All in once. And of course master my violin.
What you are able of when playing an instrument:
- You can focus on more thing at the same time
- You have the possibilities to play together
- You’re creating discipline when playing a musical instrument
- Brains are more capable of finding solutions for complex problems and situations
- Bonding with people in that same field
Whatever you decide, I think it h a lot of benefits when your child is playing an instrument.
I got a lot of opportunities when I played the violin, like having faith I can do something.
And parents: if you’ve always wanted to learn to play an instrument by yourself, it will be never too late! Don’t give up.
