What have you learned from a child in your life?
When our children express big emotions, it’s a mechanism of communication and our role as a parent is to listen.
Every outburst is not an indicator of bad parenting or bad children. These moments are opportunities to guide our children‘s learning and build a stronger, healthier relationship.
My 9-year-old had volcanic emotions recently and I’m continuing to reflect on this moment.
When your child needs to talk, stop and make that your number one priority.
Let them lead — and let yourself learn.
Parenting is humbling.
We constantly face new experiences and, with that, greater opportunities to look inwards and apply our learning to favourably influence another generation.
