Painful Hellish Lives Of Women In Nazi Brothels
They provided sex from 8 to 10 pm, 15 minutes per person.

When we talk about Nazis, the first thought that comes to our minds is antisemitism, anti-communism, and dictatorship under Hitler. The horrors committed by the Nazis under Hitler are unimaginable. An estimated six million Jews were killed by Nazi Germany and its collaborators.
Their properties, possessions, and income were seized from them in order to make it harder for them to live elsewhere before the onset of the Holocaust. Unfortunately, these weren’t the only atrocities committed by them. During Holocaust, Nazis kidnapped many young women for one use, please.
These women along with those who were imprisoned in concentration camps were used as prostitutes for the Wehrmacht and SS soldiers. According to official sources, approximately 34,140 European women were kidnapped and kept as prostitutes in brothels operating in their own countries.
The women from concentration camps who served in these brothels came from Ravensbrück concentration camps. We will talk about this heinous crime committed by Nazi Germany in this article.
It Starts With U̶S̶ The Holocaust
Holocaust. What was the holocaust? The Holocaust, also phrased as the Shoah, was World War II’s mass murder of Jews in Europe by anti-Semitic Nazi Germany. During this period one of the atrocities committed was the use of women for sexual pleasure.
The SS established 10 brothels, the largest of which was in Auschwitz, in present-day Poland, where as many as 21 female prisoners once labored, starting with the Austrian camp at Mauthausen in 1942.

Early in 1945 — the year the war came to an end — the final one opened. It is not included in the history of the Holocaust of European Jews as Jewish males were not allowed entry into the brothels, and Jewish women were not sought out for prostitution.
Around 200 female prisoners, according to author Robert Sommer, were made to work in brothels as punishment for trying to flee the brutality of the concentration camps.

The camp brothels were often constructed as barracks with small, separate rooms for up to 20 female captives, managed by a female supervisor (Aufseherin), and enveloped by a barbed-wire barrier.
The Ulterior Motive
According to the commander of SS, Heinrich Hemmler, the purpose of this was to motivate the non-Jewish prisoners of war through sex. However, Heinrich had an ulterior motive.

These brothels were used to single out traitors. They were rigged and people were hired to spy on all the conversations. These spies would record them and listen for any proof of treason.
All the people who uttered negative ideas about the fuhrer were branded as traitors and killed. This helped Hemmler eradicate all traitors in higher positions who could pose a threat to his boss, Hitler.
A life no less than hell!
Women from concentration camps willingly came to serve at brothels as they were promised lesser sentences. Unfortunately, life at these brothels was really hard for them.
New prostitutes were brought in on a frequent basis as a lot of them died. Diseases killed them. These women were used and as soon as they died, were replaced. They were not offered health care and many died due to forced abortions.

They had to provide sex from 8 to 10 pm on work days and Sunday afternoons, 15 minutes per person. After receiving a brothel permit from the SS, males were matched with women and had physicals performed on them.
If their name was called during the nighttime roll call, they were led into the facility where a doctor would apply a medical cream to their genitalia.
As the thorough SS files of the brothels attest, even the act of intercourse was supervised. Sommer added, “The SS had spy-holes to keep an eye on them. The missionary position and only 15 minutes of sex were permitted’’.
Was the promise fulfilled?
The prostitutes were offered larger portions of food as compared to other prisoners. This led to altercations in the camps when women were selected to serve as prostitutes. Other prisoners who were not selected would use violence against those that were.

While they did get larger portions, the question as to how much reduction in sentences was given is a mystery. However, whatever happened at these brothels and after this might be a mystery but the female prisoners’ reluctance to tell what happened sure does leave a lot of questions unanswered.
What disturbing instances did they go through that they couldn’t talk about it years after the end of Nazism and Hitler? What were they forced to do? To what extent was the trauma?
Women were forced to sell their bodies for the pleasure of German soldiers with the promise of a better life. Unfortunately, the promise was never fulfilled.
To What Extent Did Nazi Atrocities Extend? Why was it left unpunished?
The Nazis killed men, pimped women, and didn’t even leave children alone. They even forced prisoners of war to be held as criminals in the eyes of women by using brothels.

They forcefully acquired the properties of Jews. This is heartbreaking and painful as it is. The question is, is this all that they did? What if there is a lot that we don’t even know about Nazism?
Unfortunately, the answer to this is uncertain. To add insult to injury, most of the higher officials were left unpunished. They escaped punishment after all they did. Was it because of their higher status or money? Or was it for some other reason? What do you think?
