Paging Dr. Umar…

It is time for a dose of your own medicine.

Dr. Umar, you are a punk for addressing a deceased man’s woman about her finances. What is your twisted fascination with Kobe Bryant? When he passed, you suggested it was an assassination done by the NBA and pharmaceutical companies. Now, you’re addressing his widow about her money.

You accuse Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s widow, of not doing anything to help the Black community with the money Kobe left her. First of all, being such a misogynistic man, I’m surprised you don’t know that a man doesn’t approach a woman, especially regarding her man’s money. That’s a bitchass move. Secondly, what she does with the money her husband left her is her business. Third, how do you know what she is and is not doing with her money or what Kobe designated to be done — privately or publicly — with his money? We know no more about Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s money than we know about the hundreds of thousands of dollars you claim to have raised in a 501(c)(3) that you never established for a still-nonexistent school you have been building for 10 years where Black boys will pay tuition to attend.

Brotha, you’re guilty of exactly what you accuse Kobe of. You’re not doing anything to lessen the economic gap between Black and White America.

Knowledge is the ultimate currency to uplift our people, and you are about to charge Black, male 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders for an education.

You know knowledge is the ultimate currency, which is why you feed piss-poor knowledge to Black people to maintain mental poverty and consequentially economic poverty, thus further adding to the economic gap between Black and White America.

It seems you brush your teeth and come up with some new, impoverished Black rule to further divide us, degrade us, and derail us from progress. You are a bitter man who is jealous of other Black people’s progress and success because of your lack of progressive success.

You have the audacity to have two children out of wedlock by two different women and part your lips to say that Kobe hasn’t done enough in the Black community or that a man is less pro-Black because he has a White girlfriend.

YOU haven’t done anything for the Black community by creating two single mothers and not establishing a Black family.

YOU are less pro-Black for belittling Black men and women publicly.

YOU are less pro-Black for conning people with a school on the shoulders of Black children.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that you’re a plant in the Black community to push an agenda that divides and conquers us. You’re using that Ph.D. in psychology to manipulate people’s minds with smart sentences that separately sound good but together form ignorance that some can’t decipher. You appeal to a certain group who lack the education and critical thinking skills to notice you’re a bunch of bull.

Call to Action

Black people! Listen up. He may make a relevant point every few years, but we need to stop giving this man a microphone. All podcasters and interviewers need to cease inviting this man to speak and all of his requests should be denied. We, the audience, need to independently think and do our research before believing or repeating anything anyone says, especially Dr. Umar. Again, he may make a relevant point every now and then, but a broken clock is right twice a day. Do better. There is no reason this broken, bitter man should be known outside of his barber shop and 50 social media followers.

Final Thought

I’m perturbed I gave this man my time this morning.
