Own The Freedom to be Yourself

You are ‘enough’ just being you!

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” ― Bernard M. Baruch

Everyone is created with an innate need to belong.

Each of us has a need to feel love and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

I admit that life is better when we walk in harmony with others.

Though parts of YOUR journey may require that you walk alone.

Sadly for some, that need for community goes unrealized due to any number of reasons.

Some may tell you you are not worthy, that you are not pretty enough, not smart enough, or that you lack self-confidence.

YOU need to know that YOU are enough, just as you are.

Do not feel pressured to change or conform to be liked by others.

Simply be yourself.

Be kind and considerate but do not bend over backward to please.

You matter!

Know that it is more than okay if others cannot appreciate your authentic self.

You will never be liked by everyone and learn to make peace with that.

If someone dislikes you without reason, that is THEIR problem, not YOURS!

If possible, distance yourself from their space.

Self-preservation is a key component of self-confidence, the ability to know when and how to separate yourself from toxicity.

Remember

Life is better when you live in peace with others.

But not at the cost of your peace, sanity, or your life.

Do not believe that you REQUIRE the approval of others to survive, to thrive, or to be happy.

You were created to be just who you are.

Rejoice in that knowledge and learn to be comfortable within yourself.

You are more than enough.

You are worthy.

It is OK just being YOU.

Choose kindness.
