Over the Weekend: A Twitter Moment of 8 Stories that Make You Think!
Monday — October 18, 2021

Happy Monday everyone. I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend. Mine was busy busy busy, and I’m about to tell you exactly why. So for anyone who’s interested…
This happened to me over the weekend
I got up Saturday morning, and although I planned to start reading Medium stories early, I got sidetracked.
I started looking at all the stories I’ve published, since I first updated my profile and my directories. I started getting anxious over all the stories that I had neglected to add and update to the directories.
That’s when I decided to update my directory on my profile page. Then, of course, I thought about my publication where I’ve been publishing most of my writing to. I decided to update that as well.
So my Saturday was spent, working on directories and trying to organize stories. I also helped one of my followers, who is a new member, thanks to my referral (I’ll tell you more about her in a minute).
By late Saturday, I finally got around to reading some stories, and I woke up first thing Sunday morning and read some as well.
Here’s what I read over the weekend and why I enjoyed what I read
The following stories are what I read this past weekend. The links that I provided will take you to the individual tweets I posted.
But you can always check them out in this TWITTER MOMENT I created.
That means that all the story tweets are linked together and available in the following order for you to view.
- I read a story by Clement Brian and added it to my Twitter Moment because I was so impressed by all the things he wished he knew earlier, as a content creator. https://bit.ly/3aFqb9R
- Deb Fiore had a story about the gratitude she feels for readers in the Medium community was truly touching. It was my first read on Sunday morning, and I couldn’t wait to share it on Twitter. https://bit.ly/3FUoa8s
- I read what Burk wrote about the awesome Short Form publication. He gave us a view behind the curtain. I love this pub. They’re the inspiration for the new short form stories feature in my Daily Justiss publication. I even accept writer submissions for it. https://bit.ly/3aMppbm
- Outspoken writer Allison Gaines taught me a new phrase over the weekend. Her story had some pretty powerful stuff to say about “blackfishing” and Nicki Minaj. https://bit.ly/3FXmScA
- Another explosive story I read over the weekend was written by the writer Maria Rattray and she seriously blew the lid on the topic of plant based foods. https://bit.ly/3pgKTWp
- One of the eye-opening stories I read over the weekend was written by Xin Xin and it provided some truly useful stuff about your older stories’ status on Google. https://bit.ly/3BSpPJ0
- This story about appreciating the wisdom of old ladies was really dynamic. I loved what Veronika Kaufmann had to say. It was so funny, pointed, and spot on, that I couldn’t resist sharing it. https://bit.ly/2Z14Ntu
- I loved loved loved the story that Cheryl Brown wrote about the phenomenal author Toni Morrison. Cheryl provided some superb quotes by Ms. Morrison. https://bit.ly/3lPipAH
I like to use Twitter to promote my own stories also
Obviously, I couldn’t spend time sharing stories on Twitter, without promoting one or two of my own (or 3 or 4).
I shared a tweet about my smoothie recipes that readers seem to really like. https://bit.ly/3j7kp5u
I shared a post that links to my Halloween story (if you can call it that). I published it over the weekend. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to give it a read, and feel free to share your views in this story about publication editors. https://bit.ly/3vhBOgK
I tweeted about my 400th story being published on Coffee Times. https://bit.ly/3BRSuhw
I tweeted about my chain link story, in an effort to help support more writers and their stories on Medium. https://bit.ly/3n5IJG2
