Over the Weekend: A New Feature in the DAILY JUSTISS Publication

How I promote my followers and their stories on Twitter.

Lately I’ve been discovering a lot of great writing tips, hacks, and strategies to help me in all aspects of my writing and self publishing.

Although I use the term self publishing when I refer to the majority of stories I’ve been publishing this month, I’m actually publishing them in a Medium publication. It’s a publication I created myself, but it’s still a publication.

Publishing my stories in this fashion allows me a lot of control over how I do things, so I decided to start taking advantage of all that power.

Over the weekend, I had a great idea, like I do on so many weekends when I try to take a break from writing. I start off focusing on nothing but relaxing and reading, which always leads to some new BIG IDEA.

I wrote a detailed account of everything about it in a story I plan to publish Monday (9/21). Here is the story title and subtitle:

What is the “Over the Weekend” feature in the Daily Justiss publication?

Just like the name implies, “Over the Weekend” will focus exclusively on Medium stories that I’ve read over the weekend. I want to use this as a way to shine a brighter spotlight on the stories that my followers are writing.

How will I do that? By creating Twitter “Moments”, which will allow me to promote up to 10 different stories in one tweet.

I plan to select 8 stories written by different writers and include them in my weekly Moments.

Since I normally read and comment on stories that I enjoy anyway, what better place to share my approval, than on the Twitter social media platform? There are tons of Medium writers there, not to mention lots of potential new Medium members.
