The Face of Haunting Words

In the quiet alcove of my trembling heart, A sinister whisper tears me apart. Words, once spoken, that left a scar, Echo in chambers, both near and far.

They cascade like rivers, cutting through stone, A haunting symphony of fear, alone. Each syllable, a poison-dipped dart, Pierces the sanctity of my vulnerable heart.

From the tongue of another, they found flight, Plunging my world into relentless night. A shadow that lingers, a ghost unseen, In the silent aftermath of what has been.

Yet, within the labyrinth of this fear, A hopeful whisper begins to clear. A softer voice, from within my soul, Challenging the fear to relinquish control.

Words may wound, and words may mar, But they do not define who we truly are. For within each heart, strength resides, A courage that fear cannot hide.

Though others’ words may cast a shade, My spirit, by fear, will not be swayed. For I am more than what was spoken, I am the phoenix, from the ashes woken.

So, I stand amidst the echoing fear, With a resilient heart, both strong and clear. Their words, like chains, begin to break, Revealing the strength that fear cannot take.

In the end, these words are but a test, A momentary visitor, an unwelcome guest. Fear may enter, but it does not stay, For the heart’s true voice will light the way.
